Short Bio: I’m Leo Miyagee, a 27-year-old rap artist from Belfast, making waves in the UK and Irish Hip-Hop scenes with my unique mix of punchy lyricism and Jazz influences. Known for my versatility, my ability to seamlessly switch from rap to melodic crooning has earned me comparisons to Wretch 32 and Kendrick Lamar, as well as critical acclaim and national recognition. My electrifying live performances have established me as a dynamic force in the music industry. I’ve gained a growing fanbase both locally and internationally, with recognition from major publications such as Nialler9, District, Belfast Telegraph, Vice, Irish Times, The Voice and iD Magazine. I’ve been nominated multiple times at the Northern Ireland Music Prize, including BBC Artist of the Year, Best Album, and Best Live Act. My newest album, released on December 31, 2024, has already attracted attention from mainstream media, including BBC Radio plays and playlisting. I have previously also been featured in New Music Irelands playlist in 2018, The Student’s Union play list in 2021 and Release Radar in 2023. Some recent achievements include being named one of Youth Music Nextgen’s Ones to Watch 2025 across the whole UK + a feature in a prominent article, being a key artist at Irish Music Week 2024. Headlining major events like BBC Introducing Live at Sound of Belfast/Output Belfast 2024 and taking part of a special BBC NI initiative celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop. I was also nominated for Ticketmaster Rising Irish Star 2024.
