Liz Exell: Women Make Music Grantee

Sallix EP

Synchronising nestled cycles, like the cogs of a clock or nature’s own loops, first encountered by Liz in Vula Viel and the music of the Dagaare people; infusing the sound with the energy and thrust of Led Zepplin and Janice Joplin;
borrowing the bittersweet of early blues; nodding all the way to hypnotic minimalism like Do Make Say Think and Reich’s Electric Counterpoint; doused heavily with collective improvisation; Sallix skid in sideways with riff based singable songs.
