London Contemporary Music Festival: The Open Fund for Organisations
LCMF 2021 will be an epic eight-day new-music festival, centred around 15 major commissions from 20 UK-based artists. This cast of exhausted sadbois and sadgurls will look to the creative possibilities of ruination, melancholy and hysteria. Stylistically as diverse as ever, ranging from electronic music and hip hop to contemporary classical and sound art, the festival will again return to its spectacular underground bunker, Ambika P3, but this year also spread out over London and into the streets, as well as being livestreamed online.
Among the highlights will see the LCMF Orchestra return with several new commissions, major new chamber work, as well as a bold mix of electronic and dance commissions.
Since 2013, LCMF has curated eight critically acclaimed editions of the festival, establishing ourselves as ‘London’s most important festival’ (Wire). Attracting large, diverse audiences, our programmes bring together renowned figures alongside emerging talent from all corners of experimental music.
