Luke Done : Early Career Promoter Fund
Marisam Events specialises in promoting a diverse range of live music events including artist showcases and audience interactive experiences that connect consumers with emerging and established talent. Co-Founders Maria Winter and Sam Harris aim to foster safe spaces for musicians and audiences alike, and their long-term plan is to promote a more transparent, inclusive, and diverse creative industry; fair wages, fair profits & fair prices for all. The pair want to continue bringing music in all of its various forms to diverse audiences across the NE and beyond via innovative, music-driven events. Winter and Harris aim to expand their events further by upping the capacity for bigger venues in central Newcastle. As young entrepreneurs who plan on shaking things up within their local music scene, Marisam strive to promote a more transparent, inclusive and diverse creative industry via their so-called “no-bull business strategy”. PRS funding will be used to put on a variety of original music showcases such as Platform 22, and interactive live music experiences including the Late ‘n’ Live Music Quiz. The North East events scene is on the brink of an innovative shift, as Marisam Events switches the focus to a one-stop-shop entertainment service – promoting local musicians and venues alike. Curating unforgettable, interactive experiences will allow audiences to experience a vibrant blend of creativity and community, and our emphasis on inclusivity and safety stands as a beacon for the future of events in the region. Marisam Events aim to provide audiences with unparalleled interactive music-based experiences.
