LEMIO: Lynsey de Paul Prize Runner Up 2017

Jemio is a MOBO nominated soul – pop singer and songwriter based in South – East London. Where the raw emotion of Emeli Sandé meets the soulful musicality of Alicia Keys, you’ll find Jemio’s classical influences weaving through, creating her own unique sound. With over four million YouTube views under her old stage name Niké Jemiyo, she released her EP ‘Hearts Grow’, consisting of five blissful numbers, gaining a top 20 position in the Hype Machine Music Chart.

Jemio has toured venues including 93 Feet East, Ronnie Scotts Bar, The RAC, and performed at Beach Break Live Festival. In the summer of 2016, she performed backing vocals for LeAnne Rimes at BBC Radio 2’s Live in Hyde Park. Jemio recently appeared in BBC4’s evening documentary “The Secret Science of Pop” where her song ”Dive” was produced by Grammy Award Winner Trevor Horn.
