Amy Fitz Doyley: Lynsey de Paul Prize Runner Up 2017

Recent years have seen Amy Fitz Doyley write and perform as part of various collectives, supporting the likes of Gregory Porter, Roy Aires and Public Enemy in concert.

Described as a “one woman musical army”, Doyley is now taking steps towards experimenting in a solo capacity, developing an intuitive approach to music making though the use of various instruments, sounds and influences.

Her sweet melodies and stunning vocals add deep, soul-felt, undercurrent tones to beat-heavy sounds and the subject matter of her writing is often intense, honest – based on her own life experiences and those of others.
