Manchester Collective: TDN 2026

Short Project Title: EXPERIMENTA – an opportunity for music creators to explore and experiment within the world of contemporary classical music.

Project Description: EXPERIMENTA offers music creators the chance to be supported by Manchester Collective’s musicians and creative team to explore writing for classical musicians. The scheme is for artists without formal training in classical music, who are based in northern England and have experienced barriers to entry into the contemporary classical world. The six-month long programme includes a bursary, a 2-day Manchester residency, one-to-one workshops and mentoring, along with the opportunity to take creative risks together and be part of a forward-thinking artistic community.
