Marie White & Emily Cox, INK. : The Hitmaker Fund

INK are a female writer/producer duo formed of songwriter Marie White and session musician and producer, Emily Cox. The pair discovered their writing spark after Marie won Glastonbury’s Emerging Artist in 2019 and began working together on various projects, tours and releases – collaborating with the likes of Carey Willetts and Joe Rubel, to name a few. This year alone, songs written by INK have been played on Radio 1 by Mollie King, Maia Beth and Jack Saunders as well as receiving continuous support from BBC Introducing, racking up over a million all time streams and featuring on multiple Spotify playlists. Their production style is influenced by artists and producers such as Griff, Mahalia, Rob Milton and Oh Wonder, and the pair’s diverse music backgrounds allow them to be able to delve into most genres from Pop and Indie to R&B.

INK will be using their Hitmaker fund to be able to secure their own full time studio space, and upgrade their production gear. After spending the past year sharing a studio space for writing and production part time, INK are excited to be able to grow into their own studio where they will be able to level up their production offering, create an inspiring creative space for their artists and collaborators and continue to gain momentum as a writing duo!
