Bio:
Mary Adekoya – Legal Advisor at BPI.
Mary is a lawyer working across music, culture and the creative industries. She began her career in 2016 at NBCUniversal before moving into the music industry, where she trained and qualified within the legal team at AEG Europe and AEG Presents. During her time at AEG, Mary worked across both the venue and promoter sides of the business, supporting major venues including The O2 arena and festivals including All Points East, British Summer Time Hyde Park. Mary is now a Legal Adviser (Solicitor) at BPI, where she works across key projects including the BRIT Awards, Mercury Prize and Official Charts Company. She is particularly interested in the intersection of live music, culture and international markets, with a focus on the continued global growth of African music and live entertainment.
