Short Project Title : Beneath the Surface

Biog: Matthew Whiteside is a celebrated composer and artistic director known for ‘effective and unsettling’ (BBC Music Magazine) compositions. Based near Glasgow, his music blends acoustic and electronic elements, exploring themes of decay, stillness, and connection. His work has been commissioned and performed by United Strings of Europe, Scottish Opera and RTÉ NSO and he scored Michael Palin’s Quest for Artemisia for BBC 4. Matthew also leads The Night With…, a concert series championing, commissioning and recording innovative new music. He is an advocate for a DIY ethos and supporting self-releasing artists, he authored The Guidebook to Self-Releasing Your Music.
