Francis Lung: Momentum

Francis Lung is the moniker of Manchester resident and former bassist of the ever enigmatic WU LYF, Tom McClung. Francis Lung revealed the first taste of his project with the sublime “Age Limits” stream and accompanying video, followed by the limited edition ‘A Selfish Man/Tsunami Blues’ 7″ released on Atelier Ciseaux. Francis’ debut collection of music ‘Faeher’s Son’ was written over a 3 year period spanning before, during and after the experience in WU LYF and consequently bares witness to a fair amount of turbulence and reflection. A true solo effort, McClung plays every instrument on the tracks, self producing and recording the tracks at home.

Francis Lung said:

“I am Francis Lung, a singer/songwriter/producer based in Manchester, UK. The Momentum music fund has enabled me to independently release my music under my own record label, Songs Records. I think the Momentum Music Fund is unique in that it facilitates artists whilst preserving and maintaining their artistic freedom.”
