Joshua Burnside: Momentum
Joshua Burnside is an alt-folk artist and producer based in Belfast. His 2017 debut album EPHRATA won the NI Music Prize and has received critical acclaim from The Sunday Times, NPR music, The Irish Times, CLASH and others, whilst being championed by BBC 6 music and Radio 1 DJ’s including Laurene Lavern, Tom Ravenscroft, Phil Taggart and Huw Stephens.
To promote his latest release – ‘Joshua Burnside – Live at The Elmwood Hall’, Burnside will be touring the UK and Ireland in May and November, as well as dates in the US and Europe. It will be his grandest tour to date with a larger band, visuals, costumes, guest performers and more, drawing influence from some of the most highly renowned tours and live albums of all time. Burnside sites The Band’s ‘The Last Waltz’, Talking Heads ’Stop Making Sense Tour’ and Van Morrison’s ‘It’s Too Late to Stop Now’ as models for the upcoming dates. A high bar indeed you might say, but one must think big and bold to cut above the noise.
