Mr Bigz: Momentum
Mr Bigz is one of the UK’s most entertaining and charismatic hip-hop figures, whose new sound and look promises an exciting chapter in his colourful career.
The popularity of Mr. Bigz among his peers in UK hip-hop is undeniable, working with a number of British Rap stars since his debut mixtape. Tinie Tempah, Professor Green, Wretch 32, Giggs and Chip are just a few of the stars to have collaborated with Mr Bigz. He also featured on Sway’s Mercury-nominated album This Is My Demo. Mr. Bigz’s time in music has included live performances across Europe, and tours of the UK to support the likes of N-Dubz, Sugababes, Conor Maynard, Professor Green and Wale.
With a sold out headline show and multiple radio playlists, the future for Mr Bigz looks brighter and healthier than ever as he goes into the making of his forthcoming project “Pain Love & Everything Above” along with a planned tour early 2016.
The appeal and charm of Mr. Bigz is infectious, and with him currently enjoying making music more than ever, there is sure to be even further greatness on the way.
The Momentum funding will pay for the recording and subsequent promotional tour of my new EP ‘Pain, Love and Everything Above’. The EP will feature unsigned acts from across the UK. As for the tour, it won’t just be about the music – I’m aiming to inspire disadvantaged, traditionally under-served audiences. The tour will touch the cities across the country identified as having large hip-hop-consuming audiences.
Mr Bigz said:
I am honoured that the PRS Foundation have chosen to support my forthcoming EP campaign and subsequent tour. As a self-funded project, the funding and mentoring that PRS Foundation offer will play a massive part in delivering my project. I’ve been a member of the PRS since I started making music and have benefitted from their royalties – but being one of the lucky few to gain Momentum funding from the Foundation has taken things to a whole new level. PRSF are helping to support the next generation of British artists.
