Momentum: The Ninth Wave

The Ninth Wave are a Scottish band who make gothic pop music. The band are led by Haydn Park and Millie Kidd who harmonise together creating their instantly recognisable Ninth Wave sound. The Ninth Wave have built a solid fanbase having released two EPs and currently going through their album campaign – INFANCY.
They have supported The Blinders and Yonaka picking up new fans all over the UK and in Europe. The band were supported by PRS Foundation in their trip to SXSW in Austin this year through the International Showcase Fund where they picked up a US Booking Agent who is now helping them grow over in the US. The band have had support on the Radio from the BBC, Amazing Radio and Radio X and also overseas with plays on the likes of KCRW and KEXP in America.
Recently they have supported Chvrches at The Hydro in Glasgow and in Edinburgh. All of this success has amounted to a lot of buzz around the band and a lot of support from fans. The band plan on their own headline tour at the end of the year when they want to up the live show and play their own shows to push the release of INFANCY in November.
The Momentum Funding is going to allow the band to do this. Without it they would not be able to pay their session players and also replace a lot of damaged or faulty equipment and the shows would be cancelled at critical time.
