Bio: Monique Burrell is the Founder and CEO of In The City Media Ltd, a talent management and artist development company specialising in celebrity partnerships, influencer marketing and cultural brand collaborations. With over 15 years of experience across music, entertainment, fashion and media, Monique has built a reputation for identifying talent, developing careers and creating opportunities that connect culture, creativity and commerce. Her journey in the music industry began at the age of 15 as part of the grassroots promotional campaign supporting the UK release of Beyoncé’s debut solo album, sparking a career dedicated to championing artists and creating pathways for success. A cultural connector, Monique works across artist management, brand partnerships and cultural activations at the intersection of music, fashion, media and entertainment. Working with brands and organisations including, e.g BET, ComplexCon, Revolve Festival, Teen Vogue Summit, Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld, Moncler, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger and Balmain. She spent six years managing DJ Siobhan Bell, helping expand her profile in the US market. Monique has also led brand identity development for R&B artist Mnelia and currently manages rising artist Lost Girl, including securing a recording partnership with ONErpm in the United States. Recognised for her leadership and vision, Monique was recruited for a Vice President of Artist Management role at MNRK Music Group in Los Angeles before choosing to return to the UK to continue building her own business and developing the next generation of talent. As a Black female founder and mother, she is committed to championing emerging talent.
