Yvette Riby-Williams is a London-based singer, songwriter, producer working under the artist name Naala. Her work celebrates her Ghanaian heritage and British upbringing; a contemporary electronic music project built from voice layering, self-made synths and found-sounds. This is a project filled with the delicate complexities of modern and African biographical story craft. Much like her musical tastes she draws inspiration from everywhere; in the sounds of vivid horn lines of vintage Jazz records to the hypnotic grooves of Ghanaian highlife cuts to weave these into her uniquely magical storytelling.
