Nadedja : Women Make Music

Bio :

UK-based but Brazilian-born, Nadedja settled in North East England in 2017 to embark on her music career as a solo artist. Nadedja’s soulful alternative pop sound has been described as “classy, dynamic and impressive”, with an intrinsic power to mesmerise and captivate audiences. Supported by the Ivors Academy, Help Musicians, Generator and now PRS Foundation, Nadedja was the first artist to headline Sage Gateshead’s ‘From The Glasshouse’ concert series, and her music has made appearances on ITV2’s Love Island, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing. She’s performed in festivals throughout the UK, including Latitude, Dot 2 Dot, Hardwick and Lindisfarne.

The creation, release and promotion of Nadedja’s debut album.

Brazilian roots to life in the UK, through sections of her journey spent tracing maps of ancestry, art, elation, solitude and healing. This album signifies a huge creative level-up, showcasing the very best of her songwriting and artistry, culminating into her most ambitious release to date. The album will be co-produced by the talented Bob Mackenzie (The 1975, Anne-Marie, Nile Rodgers), with the support of Dan Taylor (The Heavy) and Mike Woodvine, recorded between Bob’s home studio and Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios. PRS Foundation’s vital support will allow Nadedja to grow her regional, national and international (Brazilian) audiences and leverage the album’s success to open up new and exciting career opportunities.
