Nathan Simm : Early Career Promoter Fund

About :

Nathan Simm, aka producer/DJ “Simma”, is now moving into the world of event promotions, with a series of ‘Hull Dub Club’ events showcasing soundsystem culture in an authentic way – bringing an underrepresented genre (Dub/Reggae) to an underserved city (Kingston Upon Hull). The events will take place at community venues within the city such as The New Adelphi Club and Polar Bear Music Club. Hull Dub Club will be promoted under Simma’s acclaimed ‘Dub Junction’ record label Local ‘Three Crowns Soundsystem’ will take residency to power the events with high powered bass, plus guest soundsystems will be invited from around the UK, alongside a host of DJ’s, MC’s and live bands.

Project Description :

To promote a series of events showcasing dub/reggae music and soundsystem culture at grassroot venues in Hull.
