Nectar Woode: Women Make Music

Supporting touring costs for Nectar Woode Summer festivals

Soulful up-and-comer Nectar Woode is a name to watch in 2024. The 24-year-old is rising from London’s fertile jazz and soul scene with the impressive debut EP, ‘Nothing To Lose’ released in February via Communion Records. Her recent sold-out London and Paris headline shows and a run of summer festivals, Nectar looks set to carve an indelible mark in UK music and beyond with fans ranging from Jack Saunders (BBCR1), Elton John (Beats1) and Zane Lowe to press attention from CLASH, The Guardian and Rolling Stone France and recent support tours with Jordan McKampa and Jalen Ngonda.

Nectar Woode is confirmed for a run of UK Festival performances and showcases taking place this summer including Cambridge Folk Festival, Secret Garden Party, Green Belt Festival & Wild Fields Festival, Live at Leeds as well as some nationwide support tour opportunities. The fees for these engagements do not cover the costs involved, particularly when performing with her all-female band. For a relatively new and developing artist, live performances and festival appearances are the life blood of building a fanbase and gaining national awareness of a project. Thanks to PRS Foundation, Nectar will massively benefit from fulfilling these engagements and can now do so without a considerable financial loss.
