Nicole Gordon: Early Career Promoter Fund
Concise Description: Deliver two FLINTA-led, live-focused electronic music events across 12 months, building perspectives• capacity for experimental programming, fair pay and sustainable grassroots delivery.
Bio: Nicole Gordon is a London-based promoter and co-founder of perspectives•, an event series dedicated to deep and experimental electronic music, launched in 2024 alongside Anna Wirth. Built around immersive lighting and spatial design, extended live sets and inclusive programming, perspectives• creates experiences that centre artists and formats often underrepresented in mainstream club culture.
Since launching, the series has delivered three events at Ormside Projects and Vittoria Wharf Studio – all Resident Advisor picks – with around 80% of artists programmed identifying as FLINTA.
With support from PRS Foundation’s Early Career Promoter Fund, Nicole will deliver two new perspectives• events across 2026 and 2027, marking a step forward in both scale and ambition. The first is a daytime event in September 2026, building on a format that has connected strongly with audiences seeking something more intentional than a standard club night. The second marks perspectives•’ third birthday in April 2027, stepping into FOLD’s Steam Room for the first time. Central to both events is bespoke lighting and spatial design developed in close collaboration with the artists. Informed by Nicole’s background in lighting and production, perspectives• treats electronic music as a spatial and physical experience as much as a sonic one. New installation work will be commissioned from emerging FLINTA lighting and visual artists, alongside informal shadowing opportunities for those earlier in their careers across promotion, lighting and technical delivery. This next phase marks a shift from self-funded shows towards a more sustainable model – fairer artist fees, accessible ticket pricing and longer-term planning, while Nicole continues to develop her practice through mentoring, training and industry engagement.
