Nwando Ebizie: The Composers’ Fund

Nwando Ebizie’s work as a composer  and maker of sound is grounded in an experimental performative art practice that draws from research into perceptual sciences and philosophy, Afrodisasporic ritual and numinous ideation. She fabulates multi-sensory experiences drawing from a wild palette of western art practice (from Early music to contemporary), pop, electronica and ritual music of the Black Atlantic.

Upcoming commissions include works for London Sinfonietta, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, The Space and works for the stage for Arcola Theatre. Past projects include residences: British Council Musician in Residence in Brazil, Snape Maltings and Opera North, works for stage for Royal Court and the Young Vic and self-curated exhibition Distorted Constellations for Waltham Borough of Culture and Brighton Festival.
