AVA Conference & Emerging Talent Competitions

AVA is an Audio Visual Arts Festival and Conference in Belfast that celebrates, amplifies and develops the strong current of electronic music and digital visual arts from and throughout Ireland.

Since 2015, AVA has striven to create a free conference with no barriers to access and to help facilitate the learning from a number of levels – through lectures, workshops, showcases, masterclasses, industry networking and drop in sessions. In the short term, bringing international experts together with both emerging and established artists creates an atmosphere that is highly conducive to creative thought and development. This gives artist the tools they need to continue to showcase and develop their work. Further, exposing artists and industry to each other and creating relationships can further help solidify development of music creators in a long term capacity.

AVA supports artists, creates a platform to showcase their work and the immense talent available across both Northern and Southern Ireland. AVA has been promoting and supporting artists for 4 years and developed a strong relationship with a substantial number of artists. The emerging talent awards are a prime example of this with winners in a variety of categories including Emerging Producer, Emerging DJ and Emerging Visual Artist. The awards offer a number opportunities including a showcase at the festival, a support from a partner label and editorial support.
