Mix Nights is a six week course consisting of six lots of two hour evening classes, where our DJ mentors teach the basics of mixing on both vinyl and CDJs. The classes are small, we only take on a maximum of 8 protégées per course, making it a comfortable space in which to work and learn. The classes are designed for a whole spectrum of candidates, whether you’re an absolute beginner merely intrigued to know more, or you have some very basic skills that you’re looking to improve on. Our mentors vary with each series but are a selection of the best professional female DJs in the Bristol area. The weekly workshops are also an opportunity to learn more about the business of being a DJ. Our mentors give workshops on wider music issues, for example how to put on your own club night, how to get DJ bookings, how to record a sample mix and so on.
