ANTICLOCKWISE ORATORIO FOR ORCHESTRA. CHILDREN'S CHORUS. ANIMATED VISUALS By DUMBWORLD

And so begins the incredible story of 10 year old Sam who receives a watch for Christmas and discovers that he can travel back in time. A useful new skill for this accident prone young boy who always seems to be making the wrong decision.

No more math’s test disasters. No more bruised head falling from the chestnut tree. Blessed now with the power to rewrite his own destiny, Sam does so at every available occasion.

A new work by Dumbworld, Anticlockwise is a contemporary musical spectacle featuring a specially formed large-scale teenage choir, symphony orchestra, narrator and big-screen animation that explores how, although we are helpless in the face of history, we have the power to create the future.

Composed by Brian Irvine
Written and Directed by John McIlduff

Brian Irvine was born in Belfast. His body of work reflects an obsessive love of music creation in all its forms and includes operas, orchestral works, large-scale oratorios, installations, film, theatre and dance scores as well as ensemble, solo, chamber works. He has won two BASCA British Composer Awards and was the 2015 recipient of the prestigious Paul Hamlyn Composers Award.
