A ‘Circus Concert’ Featuring Music from Eva Lazarus and Mungo’s

Commissioned by:

FLIP: A Vectorised Circus Concert

FLIP is a new collaboration between Bassline Circus and musicians Eva Lazarus and Mungo’s Hifi with support from No Fit State Circus, Platform, Jackson’s Lane and Stratford Circus. Produced by Feral Arts In association with Macrobert Arts Centre and Tramway.

Billed as ‘A Circus Concert, the show features a successful female singer/MC backed by one of the reggae scene’s most in-demand producers, an award-winning circus performer and imagery produced by BAFTA nominated Scottish animators. Aimed at contemporary circus and music lovers and suitable for young/family audiences, the production focuses on skill and high production values with a spirit of experimentation and minimalist design. Colliding the unlikely disciplines of Hand Balancing, Flexing and Krump, FLIP combines virtuoso circus, street dance and live music with reactive video projection and hypnotic shadow play.

At the heart of this piece of concert theatre is a collection of new songs created by Eva Lazarus and Mungo’s Hi Fi, one of which will be released as a free digital track through Mungo’s Hifi record label Scotch Bonnet.
