The Music Creation and Recording of Full Length Record 'Foryou'

i l l y r is a singer, music producer and choreographer. Born and raised on the outskirts of London, he released his first EP – [SCROLLING SUBCONSCIOUS] 05.05.17. This moving image/sonic triptych was a collaboration with visual artist REMEMBER YOU WERE MADE TO BE USED and culminated in a live show with skin-head dancers, musicians and streamed by Dazed & NTS Radio.

He was selected for Dazed 100’s 2017 list of the next generation shaping youth culture, i l l y r’s music mines a heady range of source material, from samples of sexual encounters and bodies dancing to soaring vocal recordings made in churches. The music feels physical and alive. i l l y r trained at Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance. He has worked extensively in the commercial world as both a performer and a choreographer, devising movement for music promotions, film and print work. Notably working with Vivienne Westwood, Dior, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Goldfrapp, Holly Blakey, Theo Adams Company & Mert Alas.

PRS foundation will be funding the creation and recording of his latest full length work ‘foryou’.
