For:

The Recording, Mixing & Mastering of Jay's forthcoming EP

Since he began making music at the age of 16, singer/songwriter Jay Alexzander has been merging the sounds of commercial R’n’B with neo-soul to create his own unique sound. His imaginative song writing style has been admired by the likes of Grammy Award- winning artist Billie Ocean.

During the early stages of his career Jay performed at Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho and has since been seen performing across London, Liverpool and other UK cities – sharing stages with the likes of Shakka and Jacob Banks. He performed at the 2012 MOBO Awards in Liverpool and has been on tour as a backing vocalist with Esco Williams & Ady Suleiman, as well as providing support for Ady. He also supported Yolanda Brown at Jazz Café, Snarky Puppy in Liverpool and Vince Kidd on his tour.

In 2013, Jay released his ‘Two Can Play That Game’ mixtape followed by his ‘Covered It Up’ project in 2015. His debut EP ‘The Prologue’ came out in 2016 and in 2017 he released a collection of unreleased songs as the ‘Unreleased 1016’ mixtape and to round off the year his latest single ‘F.W.U’.

The support from the PRS foundation will allow Jay to record, mix and master his forthcoming EP, to a high standard, which according to Jay himself, is his best material to date.
