Joshua Burnside - EPHRATA Tour 2017

Joshua Burnside is a Northern Irish Alt-Folk/Folktronica artist inspired by the rhythms of Cumbia, the melodies of Irish traditional, Americana and electronic music. The lyrics deal with a diverse range of themes, from PTSD and technophobia, to larger questions about time, love and death in the modern age. The album also features some guest vocals and music from the likes of Alana Henderson of Hozier, and electronic artist Rachael Boyd. The first single Tunnels Pt.2 was recently premiered on Nialler9 which described it as ‘awash with urgency and imagination.’

Stumbling beats, vocoder, african rhythms, electric guitar loops, devils, lightning and dark matter are just a handful of the various flavors to expect.

‘Rumbling, brooding, powerful, magnetic’ – The Irish Times

‘Hands down one of the most-forward thinking artists from these shores’ – The Thin Air
