Liran Donin Album Release

Acclaimed bass player, producer and composer Liran Donin has been involved with high profile and cutting edge artists, bands and projects both nationally and internationally since his arrival from Tel Aviv, Israel.  Currently based in London, Liran rapidly became a highly sought after bass player across varied musical genres. With his distinctive powerhouse grooving and his virtuosic approach to electric and double bass, Liran has been pushing the limits of the bass to unknown territories. He has been recording and touring alongside artists such as Mercury Prize Award nominees Led Bib and Polar Bear, BBC folk award winners The Unthanks, Mulatu Astatke, Chrissie Hynde and U.S indie band Here We Go Magic to name but a few, whilst producing records for artists such as Namvula, Ranjana Ghatak, World Service Project, Raph Clarkson and more.

Band leader and composer, Donin is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album featuring and accompanied by exciting and fiery young talents comprised of: Chris Williams on alto sax, Josh Arcoleo on tenor sax, Maria Chiara Argiro on piano and Ben Brown on drums.  Donin brings the bass to the forefront and directs the music from there, packed with high energy grooves but there is also an intimate, melodic and contemporary indie folk like music to be found, drawing on influences from across Sub Saharan Africa, the Middle East and travel back all the way to raw Americana. The record will be released and toured extensively from May 2018 onwards.
