Sound City (27th – 29th May 2016, Liverpool) is a world renowned international music conference and live music and arts festival. Hosting hundreds of artists performing to an audience of 22,000 music fans and 2,000 industry professionals from 29 different countries, it packs controversial debate, unparalleled networking, amazing music, eclectic art, and even a football tournament into 3 inspirational days and hedonistic nights in the world’s most legendary music city.

The team are passionate about helping emerging talent to thrive and are receiving support from PRS Foundation for Sound City 2016 to support emerging artists via additional promotion, attendance at the festival and conference, improved production equipment and catering. Emerging artists performing at Sound City 2016 include Shura, Neon Waltz, Levelz, Novelist, Mez, The Big Moon, C Duncan, Norma Jean Martine, She Drew The Gun, Xamvolo and many more. Sound City+ conference features Alan McGee (Creation and Musicians Against Homelessness), Simon Parkes (Live at the Brixton Academy) plus sessions with Believe Digital, MU, AIF, MPA, UK Music, Drowned In Sound, the Indie Label Market with Alcopop! Bella Union, Domino, Finders Keepers, Heavenly, Melodic, Modern Sky and many more. Plus a full day of Sync sessions featuring panel sessions, workshops and one to ones with BskyB, BT Sport, JT Walter Thompson, BBC, Lime Pictures and international festivals Coachella, Sziget, Outlook/ Dimensions, Tallinn Music Week. In conversations at the festival include Roisin Murphy, Sleaford Mods, while media partnerships and attendance include 6 Music, NME, The Guardian, Radio X.
