London Festival of Contemporary Church Music: The Open Fund for Organisations
For:
Showcasing the Very Best in Contemporary Liturgical Music
Based at St Pancras Parish Church, London, the London Festival of Contemporary Music presents a full programme of services, concerts, recitals, and talks, showcasing the very best in contemporary liturgical music for choir and organ. The next Festival takes place from 12-20 May 2018.
LFCCM strives to keep the genre of liturgical music fresh and inspiring, frequently addressing how and why the music is performed, exploring new contexts for performance, and celebrating a wealth of composing talent. 2018’s festival will include more than 50 events, works by dozens of composers, nearly a hundred performers, and thousands of audience members – both live and online.
Since its inception in 2002, the festival has commissioned over 60 works from living composers and given more than 100 world premieres from composers worldwide. Our creators comprise both renowned and emerging names, and come from around the world. The festival incorporates venues across London and beyond, and is currently devising collaborations with venues throughout the UK. We constantly seek to create further opportunities for choirs, composers, organists and audiences to create, perform and appreciate new liturgical music.
