Ranjana Ghatak: The Open Fund for Music Creators

For:

Ranjana Ghatak's Solo Album

The funding for this project will go towards the recording and marketing of Ranjana Ghatak’s first solo album. Working with bassist and producer Liran Donin (Led Bib/Namvula) Ranjana has been performing and writing in several languages including a recent commission for Bath International Music Festival. Working with the themes of transition, love, loss and union – Ranjana has enjoyed expressing her passion for storytelling and discovery through song. She has enjoyed a varied singing career from touring across the UK as a performer, to guesting on BBC documentaries and writing a contemporary choral piece for the Commonwealth Games. She is excited to be drawing on her roots and influences of north Indian singing towards this first album of original material.
