Rising from Belfast’s subterranean, Optmst has quietly built repute as an emerging artist, harnessing his distinct take on broken beats and dance music as both a live artist and DJ.
His sound represents a constant strive to walk the line between atmospheric sounds and impactful rhythms creating a uniquely vibey character with influences panning underground dance music, UK rhythms and tasteful notes of modern/nostalgic pop alike to the likes of Jacques Greene, A.G Cook & Two Shell.
With releases on R&S records, Wex, Duality Trax and an upcoming debut EP on ShallNotfade hes got an exciting year ahead.
‘Machine Love’ is a project covering the recording & development of a new body of work designed in a way to be a tourable/repeatable live show with a focus on creating interactivity between my hardware and software workflows whilst exploring interactivity with visuals.
It enables me to put time aside to develop this body of work whilst investing in equipment, feature artists and the production of a music video/canvas to elevate the quality of my music, brand, promotion and live performances.
