Mason Hill: PPL Momentum Grantee

Glaswegian rockers, Mason Hill, are fast becoming one of the new break through rock stories of 2021. Their debut album Against The Wall, released in March 2021, stormed into the UK national album chart at number 19 and number 1 on the UK album rock chart, becoming the first new British debut rock album top 20 since Royal Blood in 2014!. The band’s second single D.N.A also spent over 16 weeks in the German rock airplay chart hitting a peak airplay position at number 5.

The PPL / PRS Momentum fund award will enable Mason Hill to record, produce, market and release two new ‘singles’, one to support their first ever UK headline club tour (Sept / Oct 2021) and one to support a first run of European tour support dates in the first half of 2022. This activity will be crucial to further solidify the band’s growing presence as one of the most important and successful new British Rock Acts in the scene. Their independent debut album campaign started in September 2020 with a core fan base of 300. Within 8 months it has grown to over 4,700 UK album sales, over 1.5 million Spotify streams, and significant early international airplay in Germany and the USA.

The Momentum fund will enable Mason Hill to continue their positive career trajectory and provide both critical and timely financial support to maintain their creative and commercial development well into 2022.
