Raelle: Women Make Music
‘Soft Glow’
“Searching for understanding of self and the world through music” Inspired by an eclectic mix of artists from Isaac Hayes to Beach House and Janis Joplin to Cleo Sol, Raelle’s style is as diverse as her vocals are rich. Her soundscapes transport you into her world, putting you in the core of her most precious thoughts and memories. Her warm vocals gently soothe over your ears while her harmonic arrangements wash over you, fully encapsulating you into her soulful world where she hopes you find a piece of yourself.
Born from years of harsh erosion and regrowth, this 6 track EP will shine a light on the experiences endured, lessons learned and harsh realities of coming into oneself and the losses that accompany the creation of a safe space to grow. It explores the metamorphosis of identity. Fragile to firm, malleable to unyielding, unfamiliar to certain. It is an exploration of black femininity, the interpersonal relationships that come with choosing yourself, standing in your truth and in your power coming into your divine feminine power and owning its truth.
Utilising a depth of musical influences and a wealth of gifted producers and fellow musicians, this journey will be marked by immersive soundscapes. From floating amongst delicate orchestral arrangements to being dragged down by moody synths, from the freedom of funk to the sensual allure of the groove, you will be among every emotion as you fold into the music.
