Rebecca Garton

R&B/Soul

Rebecca Garton continues to fly the flag for UK R&B. Her debut EP “Take Me Home” embodied classical R&B whilst incorporating Pop and Afrobeat’s influences. Her EP features artists such as, Jeremih, Fireboy DML, Louis Rei, Ling Hussle, Tia Carys & Alana Maria.

Born in Ghana to a native mother and British expatriate father, Rebecca then moved to Nigeria when she was just one week old. She comes from an especially musical household, her father; an avid fan spent his spare time as a composer. Having grown up in such a unique household, consuming a wealth of different genres came naturally to Rebecca.

Before long, key industry players got wind of her talent, including Krept and Konan, who asked Rebecca to lend her vocals on their seminal 2015 album, The Long Way Home. She ended up collaborating on three songs, Wait Up for Me, Fell Apart / Lucky Ones and I Don’t Know. Following that she worked with the likes of Wretch 32, Chip, Devlin and many more.

Rebecca is passionate about the recording however her biggest love is live performance, Opening for artists such as Summer Walker, Pink Sweats, August Alsina and Mae Muller. With the world opening back up, Rebecca hopes to return to the stage for her own headline show, performing songs from Take Me Home and her upcoming EP.

“There is so much to learn from the POWER UP network and having seen the ambassadors, I cannot wait to learn and gain knowledge from them.” Rebecca Garton
