Rebekah Fitch: Prelude
Bio: Rebekah Fitch is a Northern Irish composer, producer, songwriter, and vocalist whose music blends emotional depth with boundary-pushing sound design. Known for her memorable melodies and evocative sonic worlds, she crafts scores that pull audiences straight into the heart of a story. Her work moves effortlessly between intimate, atmospheric writing, bold hybrid orchestral cues, dark textural soundscapes, and polished pop-driven pieces, often using her own voice as a unique expressive instrument. Her music has featured across BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky and internationally, including the BBC’s Paris 2024 Olympics trailer, the Wimbledon 2025 campaign, and the sonic identity for the AFC Women’s Champions League. She has been nominated for Best New Composer at the Shark Awards and a finalist for the Music & Sound Awards Rising Star. Rebekah has scored several short films and recently contributed additional music to Fatima Al Qadiri’s feature L’Étranger, which premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival. She has also collaborated with Michael Price and Carly Paradis on major television and film projects. Whatever the story, Rebekah brings a distinctive creative voice – emotionally rich, imaginative, and always exploring new sonic territory. She is fast becoming one of the most exciting emerging composers to watch.
Project Info: Looking ahead into 2026, there’s a lot I’m incredibly excited about! I’m currently scoring two new short films and working on a number of upcoming advertising campaigns, all of which are allowing me to explore fresh sonic ideas and push my storytelling style even further. The Prelude-supported live ensemble recording session will also be a major focus for me this year – not only as a developmental milestone, but as a centrepiece project that I plan to release publicly as a portfolio showcase. Alongside my screen work, I’m planning to release more of my own artist material; it’s been two years since my last release, and I’m excited to carve out time to develop something new and personal. With these projects, plus ongoing collaborations in the additional music, production music and advertising worlds, it’s shaping up to be a really energising period of growth and creativity.
