About the composer
Born in Belize, Errollyn Wallen studied composition at the universities of London and Cambridge. Described by the Observer as a “renaissance woman of contemporary British music”, Errollyn Wallen is as respected a singer-songwriter of pop influenced songs as she is a composer of contemporary new music. She is an Ivor Novello Award winner and in 2007 received an MBE for services to music.
