Robert Mitchell’s debut solo piano UK tour is in support of the release of a new album – The Glimpse (WR4630). This is an album – consisting entirely of solo piano – performed by the left hand alone. Both jazz, improvisation, and classical genres are represented. The 21 date tour will feature both two and one hand playing, as well as a number of workshops at: RWCMD, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, Dance, Respond Academy and more. This tour also intersects with a two-day festival created by Mitchell – Leftitude – held at The Forge (London) on 20th, 21st March 2013. This will consist of 4 pianists performing left hand only solo piano repertoire (jazz and classical each night). The album is to be launched during this.
