Roberta Banks : Early Career Promoter Fund

About :

This unique event is a night dedicated to the vibrant and dynamic voices of queer artists of colour, carving out their space in the realm of experimental music. These series of events bring together a collective of Black queer electronic and classical contemporary artists, each at different stages of their emerging careers. From pulsating electronic beats to haunting classical pieces, these artists are united by their passion for creating music that transcends traditional genres and speaks to the heart of their experiences. Each artist represent a marginalised community within the music industry, boldly embracing their identities and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in music. By showcasing their upcoming projects, they not only share their innovative sounds with the world but also celebrate the diversity and creativity inherent in the queer Black artistic community.

Project Description :

A month long residency, highlighting the marginalised queer black electronic and classical contemporary community at larger venues than I have previously promoted in.
