He started his music career in Scottish indie band Bwani Junction with whom he released two critically acclaimed studio albums that received support from BBC radio 1 and a live album recorded on tour with french icon Mathieu Chedid.

After extensive touring with the likes of The 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Little Comets the band split in 2018. Since then Rory has been working as a songwriter/producer and has worked with many globally renowned artists and producers such as Social House, Lemaitre, Eli Brown, Crooked Colours, Eddie Serrafica, Tommy king, Aaron Hibell, Cassia, Aaron Smith and many more. His recent cuts include two songs on the Crooked Colours album ‘Tomorrows’, Aaron Smith/Sadhappy’s single ‘Nocturnal’ (production/mixing) and many more are set to be released over the summer. Rory specialises in electronic, house, pop and indie but likes to work across a wide range of genre’s and has recently made in roads in the hip world, working with Scottish rapper Bemz on his single ’26’. He is currently working on several exciting projects and is looking forward to a busy year of sessions ahead.

Rory will use the Hitmaker grant to upgrade his studio set up by purchasing new microphones, pre amps, and soundproofing to offer the high standard of production that he aspires to. He will also use this funding to develop his skills as a songwriter, producer and multi instrumentalist as he goes into a busy year of sessions ahead, collaborating with a large cohort of artists and producers from around the world.
