Ross Dalziel graduated in Film and Television at Glasgow University in 1993 before working as a youth worker and artist in the city. In 2000 he was artist in residence at a chemical factory in his hometown of Widnes and has worked as a self-employed artist and curator since then, based in Liverpool.

He is the co-director of SoundNetwork a non-profit organisation supporting emerging sound based artistic practice in the north west of the uk. SoundNetwork was setup in 2004 with Tim Lambert contributing to festivals like FutureEverything, Liverpool European Capital of Culture and AND festival. SoundNetwork run experimental gigs, workshops and artist talks and are advocates for the innovative use of sound, music and technology in the region.

Ross has developed music and technology conferences and workshops for FACT and in 2008 curated the DING>>D0NG show with FACT in partnership with SoundNetwork and the PRS for Music Foundation New Music Award winners The Fragmented Orchestra. The show also featured work by Tetsuaki Baba, Hambi Haralambous/ OMD/ Peter Saville, Ray Lee, Julian Oliver, Owl Project and Steve Symons.

Working in education contexts are important parts of his practice. He curates & coordinates an education programme for Halton Borough Council.
