Ruth Lyon: Prelude Composer
Ruth Lyon is a British multi-instrumentalist, singer, activist and composer.
She has performed at Glastonbury and SXSW with songs featured on Radio, TV, Film and Theatre: most notably main-end title track of Hollywood blockbuster ‘Ocean’s 8’, BBC drama ‘Then Barbara Met Alan’, ‘Made In Chelsea’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
Ruth recently recorded a BBC live session of new work at Abbey Road studios. Her commercial commissions include Audible podcast ‘Press On’; advert for Unilever and co-writing Tresemme latest campaign as a composer on the Big Sync roster.
She is an Attitude is Everything & RAMPD (US) ambassador and recently performed in New York receiving a Danny award alongside other disabled composers from around the world. She has performed and spoken in the House Of Lords as one of the Board of Directors at The Glasshouse venue.
Ruth has had airplay/ interviews on BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, Radio 4’s ‘Front Row’ plus international radio and wrote and produced a musical at Alphabetti Theatre ‘Nurse’s Station’ receiving 4/5* reviews (The Stage).
