Saïna: PPL Momentum Music Fund

Bio:

Saïna is a singer-songwriter and visual artist blending soulful alt-R&B and electronic, with Japanese influences and cinematic storytelling. Drawing from her mixed heritage and a background in visual arts, Saïna weaves together sound and emotion into an immersive experience. Her work has received support from BBC 1XTRA, BBC Introducing, KOKO x Coca Colas and Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent long-list.

Saïna has played stages like XOYO, Bush Hall and The Great Escape, and has collaborated with producers including Jackson Homer, Cupidon and Roska. Her previous EP, Out of Sync: Part 1, combined music and film, praised for its emotional depth and ambitious independently created visuals.

With support from PPL Momentum, Saïna is now creating the second chapter of her EP trilogy – a six-track release exploring reconnection and healing through bilingual songwriting, an eclectic mix of genres and live instrumentation. Each track will be accompanied by a visual chapter, forming a cohesive short film by the project’s completion.

This funding enables Saïna to work with a talented international team of producers, filmmakers and East / South East Asian creatives, and to execute a high quality rollout. The project marks a pivotal step in her growth as an artist, helping her reach new audiences globally and further establish her within both UK and East Asian alternative music scenes.
