Sarahsson: Women Make Music
Sarahsson’s new album Devonshire-born Sarahsson is a composer, performer and instrument-maker living in Bristol.
Her interests are focused on resonance and the physical properties of harmony through electroacoustic approaches. Her 2022 debut album ‘The Horgenaith’ draws on personal and cultural mythologies of femininity and transition, and she has brought her unique ear for melody, rich textural harmony and dramatic narratives across Europe to the BBC Proms, Rewire Festival, The Volksbühne and Botanique BXL, and has scored several short films, commercials and runways shows including Acne Studios’ FW23 at Paris Fashion Week.
