Shaye Poulton Richards: POWER UP Music Creator
Bio: Shaye Poulton Richards is a composer specialising in theatre and contemporary classical, and a video game designer creating playful music-led experiences. As creative director of Stage Interactive, she is an Artist-in-Residence of the Richmond Upon Thames Borough 25/26, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama 25, and part of Creative United’s Re:Create business development cohort. In theatre as composer-lyricist, director, and producer, Shaye’s one-act musical Lies All The Way Down premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2023. She was a co-writer on Precipice, a new musical commissioned by New Diorama Theatre and Timelapse Theatre Company which premiered for a 5 week run in November 2025. In video games her design and audio work has featured in projects including Interior Night’s As Dusk Falls and PlayStation’s AAA titles, and she was selected to join the inaugural BAFTA Connect cohort for her contributions, GDC’s Amplifying New Voices in San Francisco, and won Tomorrow’s Star at the Develop:Star Awards 2023.
Concise Description of activity: I will be creating an interactive live music installation, combining contemporary classical music and theatre, video game branching mechanics, and creative technology.
