Shona Maguire: Women Make Music

This project will challenge audience expectations, appealing to existing and new audiences. Working alongside Shona will be Emma Park, Artistic Director of Black Swan Dance Theatre (www.blackswandance.co.uk), developing a body of work for live performance triggering samples through movement, exploring body rhythms, using screens, shadows, and video footage with dance as the centre-piece of the music.

As part of the audio-visual project, video diaries and taster videos will be released to build interest and intrigue. The project will tour throughout Scotland, working with interesting venues and performance spaces. The first performance will be in The Peacock Arts Centre in Aberdeen. The project will enhance audiences, and explore new and interesting performance styles for my genre of music.
