EMPOWER: Women Changing Music was born out of the desire of fairness and gender equality in the music industry, and is an initiative that showcases female composers and musicians through events pillared around International Women Day. PRS is supporting the EMPOWER 2025 events, taking place at Kings Place London, and the Anthony Burgess Foundation Manchester, as well as assisting to launch a new concert series. Having showcased cover 150 performers and 20 premieres of new works at their events, and with a growing online community of over 600 followers, EMPOWER is an up-incoming organisation aiming to make a positive impact in making the music industry more inclusive, diverse, and accessible.
