About :

Multi-disciplinary artist, Sophia Amato, is a visionary with a powerful presence. The London via New York artist weaves threads of pop, R&B, electronica and elements of jazz to form her sonic tapestry. Cusping the recent successes of an applaudable collaboration with prestigious music brand, BOSE, Sophia closed 2023 with the release of her boldly impressive 6-track opus, ‘NY/LON’ EP. An enthralling experience of sonic grandeur and visual excitement, the project is a fine demonstration of Amato’s multifaceted nature and innate creativity, destined to see her name land on a number of ‘Ones To Watch’ lists.

The PRS Foundation will be supporting the production, promotion, and marketing of Sophia Amato’s upcoming singles, “Daughter, Daughter” and “Everest.” These songs delve into the female experience, exploring themes of resilience, self-discovery, and empowerment. “Daughter, Daughter” celebrates the enduring spirit of women and the wisdom passed down through generations. This pop-rock anthem, fuelled by 80s synths and energetic live drums, builds into a powerful chorus with the message, “keep raising the river.” In contrast, “Everest” takes listeners on an emotional journey through unrequited love, capturing the stages of love, loss, pleasure, anger, and growth. Opening with orchestral strings, hip hop rhythms, and lush R&B harmonies, this genre-defying track highlights the strength found and the power of reclaiming one’s narrative. Through this support, Sophia aims to further establish herself as a prominent voice in the hybrid space of music, art, fashion, and film.
