Summer Pearl is an artist from London, who has been consistent in writing, recording and performing since the age of 16. Known for her electrifying performances and to the point lyrics, Summer Pearl transports the listener to a place where truth, reality and the soul collide. Her music is a reflection of her past and a meditation on the present. It is both a personal and sometimes political message exploring black and female liberation, love gained and love lost. Summer Pearl is heavily influenced by Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop, R&B and Reggae. She channels the experiences of her ancestors, women in society and selfhood. The PRSF Showcase award granted will prove to be invaluable in bringing her explosive live show to an American audience for the first time, and allow Summer Pearl to connect with a wider fan base of music industry experts as well as lovers of soul, jazz and hip hop in the United States
